» Veesuite - Thanks for the information

Great article Kate, thanks so much for the info. I have been fortunate every year with an abundance of butterflies in my garden. I plant colorful flowers in the hopes of attracting more each year. I did not know there was an endangered species in Florida so I will now plant accordingly.
Thanks again,

» Red - great article...

Kate, this is a great article. I have seen more butterflies in my yard this year than I have seen in 3. The wooded lot across the road was disturbed 3 years ago when the city planned on selling the lots. The butterflies disappeared but now that the lot is grown over again, they appeared this year. I have seen numerous Monarchs, thousands of sulfurs and even a Red Admiral. I hadn't seen one of those in 20 years.

Thanks for doing such a great job with this one. It has given me more information and I will be keeping blues and whites out of my garden next year. This year I added Pink Beauties, which attract butterflies.

» phoehne - Knew I would find it at the Suite!

I was looking for information about butterfly gardens and thought Suite 101 should be the first place to look. Of course, I thought I would end up with a gardening site. This is great though. I didn't realize I lived in an area where I might be able to help an endangered butterfly. Now all I have to do is find out about Lupines.

Thanks for the info!
