» Linda_Shipman - GROUNDCOVER for clay soil

We would like to get rid of our grass (what isn't already in flowers!) What works for larger ares that are clay soil? We want something low growing to accent all the flower areas. It would have to have winter interest. We live in town.

» Diana_Pederson - Sedums

The only ground cover I can think of that would cover a large expanse quickly would be some of the very low growing sedums. I even have a white flowering variety that hugs the ground and grows on top of clay soil.

Take a look around some of your local nurseries and see what you can find. Unfortunately the plant I just described was given me by a friend who doesn't worry about plant names.
