Nance Fox- Question?
This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 1 2 3 4 Next » » jean99 - To Judge There is no way I could be a judg. I tried once to keep a little tally sheet of my own once at one of Doc Franks shows. No way.Every one was ending up winning.I saw the list used in scoring and man oh man you do have to be up on your Elvis.I never would of thought of any thing being wrong if an ETA was singing Jail House Rock and they had on the Aloha out fit. I want to tell some thing that I think the ETAs will understand even tho they may think I shouldnt do it. I have a Aloha out fit. Its home made but its pretty good. Well when I watch Elvis concerts on my tv I get up and copy the moves. (I pratice them). I know what you mean about the right moves. Any how the next thing I know is I where my full outfit in my Elvis room(ex living) with a concert on the big screen tv and the mike in my hand and it feels so wonderful. I wonder.I know that when I dressing the moment the collar touches my neck I just get this feeling I cant describe. I wonder if the ETAs get a feeling or if they used to but now they dont any more. So there is a qoestion. I talk to much. I like this sight. Ive really learned alot. Id like to ask one more question but I dont want to break any rules. Ill ask you in the secret corner thing , bye-- posted by jean99 » ealakart - Re: To Judge In response to message posted by jean99:Judges do have a tough job, no doubt about it. -- posted by ealakart » jean99 - Re: Re: To Judge In response to message posted by ealakart:Thats just what I ment. Im going to print this out so I can read it over and over. I never got to see Elvis and I dont know what wed do with out you guys. I go to Doc Franks show eaach year and I bring alot of tissues. I cry threw the hole show every year. I cant help it. Thank you so very much. -- posted by jean99 » jean99 - E.T.A.s I have the movie out about the behind the sceans of the etas. It was so interesting. Its like we got to know you better.I wonder how you get started.Like did you sort of look like Elvis and the pratice the voice. Or did you have the voice and the try to look like Elvis. When you see a guy who dont sing to good I wonder how you feel about him.I think it must be so wonderful to be able to bring Elvis back to people. Do you get jelious of other ETAs? Is there a site some place where ETAs talk. Id love to listen in. I got to go to Graceland for Es birthday celebration.I only went for the day. I brought a friend with who hasnt been to Graceland in 20 years. I had a great time. I got my FIRST scarf.I got it from a man named Joe Kent. Was that ever exciting. We got one of those dollar stories here in town and they got in some really nice lays(hawian things?) and so I bought a hole mess ofem. Thats what Ill hand out when I do my Elvis thing at our annual town celebration.I wish I could do better when I do my Elvis thing. I do not want to make fun of him.I dont talk at all cause Im a girl and it would sound dum.I just walk along with our parade and hand out what ever I have for that year. All I see is faces turning to smiles and people will say "Hey Elvis"or"I knew you werent gone E". They always have something nice to say. Guess Ill shut up now bye-- posted by jean99 » TCE - Re: E.T.A.s In response to message posted by jean99:Our book is for you! Walk a Mile in Their Shoes.. is a book about ETA's... How they got started, why, what obstacles they had to over come... concert moments, embarrassing moments and fond memories- from ETA's - and about ETA's... there is also a woman ETA-Shelvis, who is interviewed and talks about her career as an ETA-you may be interested. This book would answer all those questions and more. It includes 40 interviews, short stories, pictures and a "memory" section. The book is available at http://www.jumels.com As for a site for ETA's to talk, you may want to try signing up at http://groups.yahoo.com/ElvisPresleyTrib... Also be sure to check out the link area on this site (upper right hand corner) and sign up for a few egroups-- this will keep you up to date on many of the ETA's and Elvis type things! Many Elvis egroups, also have ETA's that write in and keep in touch.

I get to see ETAs once a year when I go for Elvis week and then all the rest of the year it would be like a waiting thing. But now I can talk Elvis almost any time I want.To see the ETAs in the shows is one of the most exciting things. They must have had to watch E over and over and over again. I will not holler "FIX" I will just say that I had read that this was going to be a class contest with class Tribute Artist. Well the first night was so bad everyone should have been hollering "Refund" loud and clear. The second night the talent was better. The outcome of the contest was as follows: a very stunned and confused audience (I didn't hear one person applaud) when the winner was announced. Also, the audience started filing out of the theatre very quickly not wanting to hear the "Winner" sing another song or wait for his autograph. That should tell the "Honored Judges" something.
