My opinion is that he loved his fans to much to fake his death. What is your honest opinion ?

Elvis did love his fans more then anything and I do think if hefaked his own death it was for the fans. He didn't want his fans to see him the way he was anymore and I think he wanted his fans to remember him the way he was not the way he was heading to.

From the information that is now surfacing,I think that anything is possible, and Elvis was reading a book about a rock star that faked his own death. I guess time will tell.

I believe he is really dead. I also believe he truly loved his fans and music too much to fake his death. I wish he was still here!

Yes , Elvis did fake his death on Aug.16,1977, and now lives in complete seclusion (with a mask on) under the name of JIMMY "ORION" ELLIS. He continues to record albums and perform shows under that name.

I can't remember who said it, but I agree. If Elvis truly were alive, he would have announced himself to the world the second Lisa Marie and Michael Jackson got together. ;)

Incidentally, even if Elvis WAS Orion, he's still...not alive. If what it says on the official site (http://www.orionjimmyellis.com/) is true, he died on December 12th.

I am like TCBJB.Elvis is gone.I wish people would
let him rest in peace.I don't think Elvis would
have faked his death because he would not have
done that to his fans.If you look back in time
about other Celbs faking thier deaths then hardly
any of them would be died. The only way Elvis is
alive is in the hearts of his fan!!!!

Folks it is true!!!!!!Elvis is alive!!!Alive in our hearts. Making ourselves believe that he is hiding out or he faked his own death or he is someone else, these things will not bring him back! However, if we listen to his music, or watch his movies, or even look at his photos, these things will keep him where he belongs, in our hearts!!

I have read the books by Gail B.Giorgio
and at first the facts let
me believe that he is still alive.
But as I known the story about Ellis James
(Orion) it was clear that it was just a dream.
Ellis was fantastic and it´s sad that he had
not a good manager.
I saw the Elvis on screen and I am still inspired.
Elvis look from the sky - we will always love you.

» poppycarew - Obrion, Orion, & Johnny Harra

I visited the website dedicated to Obrion, and
heard some MP3s that are supposedly by him.
What I heard sounded EXACTLY like Elvis--like
they were old unfinished demos dug out of a
vault. They were just TOO close in sound to
The King. So, I guess someone who has
seen/heard Obrion live will have to verify
whether this is his true voice??

I've also heard the late Jimmy Ellis, who BTW
had a really good voice, similar in style to
Elvis....I hope to get some of his CDs in the
future. It's too bad that he is gone now,
too....

Someone mentioned Johnny Harra, I believe he
was the only impersonator that Elvis knew
personally, or approved of..is this true??

» elvis_child - Is Elvis alive?

The answer is: unfortunately, no..... I wondered myself through the years, could it be true that he faked his own death? However, after reading the book by Donna Presley Early, I have no doubt that he died back in 1977. I have read other accounts of Elvis by people who "knew" him, but they were not related to him, therefore, they did not "love" him as Donna and the Presley's do...

In response to Obrion, Orion, & Johnny Harra posted by poppycarew:

Howdy friends!

Just a brief comment to your posting. Music by Orion can be found at: www.orionjimmyellis.com Elvis did not knew Johnny Harra personally. I think Elvis met an Elvis impersonator (Douglas Roy) on one of Elvis' concerts. But I don't think he knew any impersonators personally... If anyone can tell us any Elvis impersonator that Elvis knew feel free to tell.
Obrion was just a temporary stage name for another singer. He's an Elvis soundalike, so these recordings was not by Elvis.

Best regards, Remy
