» LonesomeGeorge - household activities Hi MarciIt was certainly a joy to find your site on caregiving to the elderly.My mother has been living with us for 3 years now and she is indeed a treat to have living in our home.Mom's hobby while living independantly was gardening.When I read your article regarding letting them help out in the daily activities in the home it certainly hit the nail on the head as the old saying goes.I found that mom can join in with me in gardening if we use planters that can be taken down and put at waist height when planting.Mom likes to put the plants in and I dig the soil up.It allows us to do something together and share some laughs.
