» BJohnson - President Creates POOPIE

You asked: What if my home was destroyed in a fire, or hurricane Mitch washed it away, along with all my indulgences? Would God remember that I
had x number of indulgences or would I have to start over?

Actually, I bet that there would be an official U.S. government response to such a tragedy. First off, the President would call on J. Brian Atwood, the director of the bureaucratic, money-wasting, rat hole known as the Agency for International Development (AID). The President would direct Atwood to create a special new AID mission called, Program On Organizing and Protecting Indulgence Elimination, or POOPIE.

POOPIE would be a multibillion dollar foreign aid program, managed in Washington, D.C. There would be thousands of new staff personel attached to managed the POOPIE. POOPIE would be established to help poor nations who suffer from natural disasters, thus resulting in the loss of their indulgences. AID would release a press statement titled:

"President responds to hurricace Mitch by creating POOPIE" or,

"Clinton sends POOPIE to El Salvador's Hurricane Victims" or

"In Reaction to Hurricane Mitch, President reponds: 'It's all in the POOPIE'

Clinton would claim that the name of the program is one that every American two-year old already knows. Clinton would sell POOPIE to the American public, claiming that it was the moral thing to do. The American public would buy this POOPIE from Clinton, since he is very capable of selling new federal programs, claiming that they are in the national interest, where in fact, they are nothing but crap.
