» Lady_Catherine - Moody Mind

I've noticed this to be true. The best example I can give of how what we put in our bodies changes our moods/thoughts is my caffeine intake.

I've been drinking Diet cola for longer than I can remember. No calories... YAY! However, it had plenty of caffeine. I drank it all day... breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between times. Three weeks ago I went grocery shopping and found my usual cola was not in stock, so I chose the caffeine free diet cola.

The first week was hell! I was so tired all the time. I felt like my body was made of lead, and I couldn't concentrate. I would try to write an article only to have find myself flitering to other tasks. I would sit down on the sofa for 5 minutes and end up having to go rest in the bed, where I would fall asleep instantly. It was a nightmare, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong.

After a week, I started to feel better. Not the same as before, I had more energy. My thoughts cleared, and once again I could handle the tasks. I noticed that I'd gotten more accomplished each day.

Several days into week two, I stopped drinking soda all together. I hear ya gasping! I started to drink more water, juice, and caffeine free tea. I limited my tea to dinner time. I can not express what a difference this made.

Week three, I have eliminated so much fat from my normal diet that my body has swung into overdrive. The energy and clarity of thought is amazing, even to me. smile
