» Barbara Nicholson Bell - A marvelous discovery!

How clever of the scientists and media to use the name "hobbit" to appeal to the widest audience!

Our imaginations are caught by the image of these little people living among other evolutionary "orphans" of the animal kingdom. I look forward to hearing more about discoveries on Flores Island.

The magazine Nature has a lot more about this exciting discovery: http://www.nature.com/news/specials/flor...

A friend of mine from church is an Indonesian doctor who served in Flores for a couple of years just after she qualified. I'll have to ask her if she noticed any small hairy people wandering around smile
