» sunflower999 - Favorite books?

What are your favorite books to read out loud? We enjoy Beatrix Potter's Nutkin Squirrel and others. The Beranstain Bears books are also well-worn here. Great ways to discuss life situations that are sometimes hard to bring up naturally.

» Willow4 - I love to read to my kids...

I love to read to my kids almost as much as they love for me to read. I think your new topic is a great idea! Good luck with it! I love the book Just In Case You Ever Wonder by Max Lucado. The first time I read this to my kids I got teary eyed because the message was so awesome. Around here there is lots of reading and it makes a big difference in how our day may go.

Good luck again, and congrats on a great choice of topics. smile

» sunflower999 - Stories to make you cry

Speaking of teary eyes, I can't get through the book "I'll Love You Forever" without crying. It's about a mom who comes to her son's bed every night after he's asleep (even after he's grown and lives across town) "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." Then the son has to sing it to his mother when she is old and finally goes home to sing it to his new baby daughter. I'm crying again. Can't remember the author.
