Oh, Joan, I cried and cried reading this article. So heartbreaking. Poor, unfortunate animals, what they have to go through at the hands of humans. Thank God for humans like you. Take care. Renie

Renie, please pass the Kleenex!! I wish every pet owner could read this and feel the stirrings that I did. This truly portrays the innocent victims. I'm glad I volunteer at a no-kill shelter and do not have to experience this personally, and can try not to think of what goes on in other places.

Renie, in the last few weeks my email has been flooded with "Dogs In Need". This is why my article was so late--and try as hard as I can, "Time was Up" for many. :.-(

This is SOOO sad, I hope it will stop at least one person (hopefully more!) from breeding their dog! Thank you Joan for writing what all these poor dogs MUST think. This makes me even more glad that I rescued my Rotten/shepherd mix!

» Red - touched my heart...

Joan,

This article touched my heart in a special way. Thanks so much for posting it. More people need to realize that a pet is a big responsibility. Like children, they need to have "time" from the people who love them. Owning a dog means more than feeding and giving it water. Thanks again.
