Keeping knots form your dog's coat requires hairbrushing daily, coupled with keeping his hair clean and conditioned. Short clips are helpful, but constant care is key.

Having two dogs with long hair can be costly at the groomers, however if you do the math you will see to get the eqiptment and achieve the same results is actually cheaper to let a groomer do the job.

Tackling home grooming is not impossible though, and you and your dog will gain more confidense with each session. good luck and check out the various artcles on which clip would suit your needs best in the link "articles" posted above.
