You had a decorating budget at your store? I must have missed that memo. LOL
When we opened our store here in Philly the grooming department was nothing but drab white. So I brought in some old copies of Dog Fancy Mag and had one of the girls cut out the centerfold pix. I got a roll of colored paper and made a boarder along the ceiling then stapled the pix all around the room. It sure brightened the place up and it gave the customers more insentive to have a few extras done for their dogs. I also brought in three old doors (the kind with slats like shutters) I spray painted them a mauve color and attached them together with hinges. We used it for magazines and christmas cards or thank you cards our customers sent. It was great because it could be used as a screen when you have a skittish dog, a room divider for when dogs didn't get along or just a display rack. You could fold it up to get it out of the way or store it if you had to. I have one at the house too to divid my computer area from the living room and it's great for christmas cards...
