I really liked how you compared this documentary to the current "reality" tv shows. It's been a while since I've seen "28-up", but I remember it clearly enough to appreciate the intelligent points you make here.

I'm glad you liked the article. I have to admit, I've watched some reality television from time to time, but I've always found the most interesting parts are the thoughts and emotions of the people behind all the stunts. 28-Up was great because it didn't bury the human element beneath a bunch of pyrotechnics. I noticed 35-Up in the video store the other day and I think I'll have to check that one out too.
