Help!
I am thoroughly confused. After years of dog owning and dog breeding we decided a Doberman was the right dog to join our now dog-less family. We did all the research and went to dog shows and talked to breeders. No one had a bad thing to say about ear-cropping (I love the look) except that it was a chore.
We bought a beautiful red Dobie in December and started lookiung for a vet to do the cropping when the time comes as our small town vet does not do it.
You would have thought we were suggesting removing limbs from the dog. Five vets outright refused, saying it was cruel and inhumane and two others said they did not want a client who would inflict such pain on their pets.
Should I or shouldn't I? Are the vets right?

Glenda
