I had my dobbies ears cropped ay 16 weeks as the vet recommended. I really didn't know the reason for the crop but did it because everyone said to do it. Had I known the ordeal and pain my puppy would go through from this procedure, I would never have done it. The stitches all the way up both ears and taped. It had to hurt a lot!. My next dobbie will have floppy ears and I would love her just the same.
