» Renie_Burghardt - Frustration and Art!

Hi Colleen, I love the collage idea! I think I'll try that. Art is a wonderful way to vent frustration. When my son Greg, was about five, and had done something naughty, I made him sit in the kitchen with me, while his brother and sister and friends splashed away outside, in the kiddie pool, in full view from the window. Of course, he was fuming because he couldn't be out there. Finally he asked me, "Can I at least draw while I'm sitting here?" "Okay, you may draw, " I replied. So he got his crayons and a piece of paper and began to draw in earnest. At one point he looked up at me and asked, "Wanna know what I'm drawing?" "Sure. What are you drawing?" I asked. "I'm drawing a picture of you, and I'm making you look just like a witch!" I have never forgotten that incident, and Greg was certainly venting his frustration with art, at the time.

Enjoyed the article, as always. Happy Holidays, Colleen.
