disability discrimination.

» foober - "Red flagged people," how to find out? Do insurance companies have the right to "Red Flag" people due to disabilities? Insurance companies receive information about a person only because a person went to seek care from their primary care physician, and then an insurance claim was created with a potentially harmful diagnosis that could label a person as high risk? This could completely mess up society in this country in a big way. It means a very large group of millions of people are held down by the wealthy, by an impassible blanket that the "new poor" cant get past, unless we start our own businesses, even then we are struggling to get beyond that blanket due to lack of credit and many other barriers that were made to keep the poor in their place. These Red Flag diagnosis's could completely destroy employment opportunities for millions of people. The sad thing is people dont know its happening, if it's a new diagnosis of epilepsy, the newly labeled disabled person would never know the true reason no jobs are calling back, all due to a "hidden red flag". Higher insurance rates for a disabled person probably doesnt look favorable to a potential employer, so the "newly disabled" person may not get a job, and be wondering...why. So how do people find out if they have been placed on a high risk list, thus affecting all areas of life? And what types of diagnosis's are the insurance companies "red flagging" to place people on the high risk list? It makes a person regret ever having gone to the doctor, because of the diagnosis on the insurance claim form. How do we protect the next generations of "employees" from the red flag diagnosis's so they at least have a fair shot at employment? I've noticed as well as many people that kids are getting diagnosed more than ever for ADHD. Is this a possible "long term plan" from insurance companies to prepare their next generation of "high risk"...thus higher insurance rates are already being set up and prepared for our unsuspecting children? It's a serious possibility.-- posted by foober
