» Jo Murphy - Hi Karin

I have a KodakDC290 and a CoolPix 8700 Nikon. Both suite the purpose.
I use the DC290 at school it is great. These are just snap shots of Kids work for their websites.
For example Eggraious Brew HaHa!...

I have not experimented nearly enough with the Cool Pix but hey? The school holidays are coming!

It was purchased to take images for magazine articles and for the pictures of professional work to go into my resume etc.
Great article thanks Karin,
Jo

Hey Karin we are talking about starting a Wacom Club - would you like to be involved?
Perhaps we could house the discussion thread here as a sharing centre?
What's a Wacom?

Finally -- a club I can belong to because I have the right tools! My husband bought me Wacom Intuos2 9x12 for my birthday last May and I had such fun setting it up and playing with it. I even bought myself Corel Painter 8 (which of course has just come out with 9.)

But I have yet to use it for an "real" (i.e. artistic) project. I would love to see how other folks use this tool and learn how I can apply what I know about Digital Photography / Image Manipulation to the Wacom. (I also would like to learn how to draw freehand, but that's another story.) Thanks for the invite! Consider me a charter member!

This link wasn't in the last post.
The idea is to help authors gain the skills to be able to provide their own visual resources for their topics. Some are aiming to be able to illustrate their own stories for publication.
These Halloween Colouring Pages were done with the Wacom Tablet.
Still with copyright you still have to be able to come up with a photo or an idea of your own. Hard to get around the need for originality.
Karin I'll let the others know that the discussion thread for the club will be here. OK?

Colouring Pages would be a good project to start off with - because they are only simple line drawings and aren't so complicated as using the airbrushing etc straight off.

Yes -- Jo, that would be fine. (Sorry it took me so long to answer you...I missed the question that first time I breezed through the message.)

Holidays approaching.
Soon I will be able to concentrate only on painting, drawing and Wacom and the such like,

Is life hectic for you too in the Christmas rush?

Yes, the holiday rush is upon us already, isn't it? I am already yearning for the solitude and quiet of January and February, although I am dreading walking the dog in 20-degree weather.

So -- we will gather forces after the holidays! Right!?
