Bi Polar does seem to be popping up everywhere. Here's a thought, has being diagnosed Bi Polar become a fade? Is there some sort of status achieved by being on Anti-depressants? It seems everywhere you turn someone is on the medication.
I am not a psychologist, yet! But I have an interest in this subject. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Time Magazine had an interesting article about Bipolar recently. It has become almost a fad diagnosis in children, very young children. Preschoolers are being diagnosed and put on medication. I think that many times Bipolar seems to be diagnosed whenever a patient is having psychotic/out-of-control/aggressive behavior. That is just what I have seen working with adolescents. What is key to diagnosis with kids (and it could apply to adults too) is not to mistake rage or a tantrum for a manic state.
