» jerrib - Informative article It would be great if more family members expressed how they feel. The afflicted gets help, but the siblings, parents, children, etc., often are left to deal with things on their own - and they rarely understand as they are not inside the head of the sufferer. Thanks for the insight, John. Jerri -- posted by jerrib » grace01 - I often wonder why my husband stays with me. I often wonder why my husband stays with me. I have put my family through so much, yet here they are. I worry sometimes that he is pushing down the pain, and it will surface someday and be overwhelming.Of course my children , mom, sister and brothers have been hurt too. I tried to leave them, why wouldn't they be? The pain everyone feels when someone is very ill is something that must be addressed as we work to understand this illness. Grace -- posted by grace01 » trulygrateful1 - Re: Informative article I personally am grateful that some of my family members are getting professional help themselves but it hurts when some of them have become detached (distanced themselves from me). I believe there are ways our family members can get help on the internet or in their community and it is a shame that some family members would rather stay ignorant in the sence they choose not to learn what the depressed family member is going through. But for myself... I can only work on me not them.-- posted by trulygrateful1
