I am so grateful to have found the information you've included on this site. I've been on a six month quest for information on mania and this site has the most conclusive I've found. My mom has been off Prozac for over three weeks, I realize Prozac stays in your body for a long time, but she is still having unusual behavior. Specifically, behavior that she's had right before entering a mania. If her mania is due to prozac when could I expect things to return to "normal"? She has always been an unusual, reclusive kind of person - however, this summer produced some truly bizarre behavior. Also, she has been on Prozac for five years and not been manic. If her mania is due to Prozac why would she suddenly turn manic after so many years of not seemingly normal behavior?
