Now that Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra are divorced, she is a rather well-known single mother. It seems apparent that she is also still very beloved by her now former mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, who gave her a gift when she celebrated her own 65th birthday on April 16.Whereas Princess Alexandra was known as Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, she will now be known through a NEW title:
Her Highness Princess Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg.
Has anyone been following anything about the Royal divorce and the public relationship between Joachim and Alexandra? I keep abreast of some things and will share some later...

The latest is that for about a year, since the divorce was announced, Alexandra has been dating a photographer 15 years her junior and they are apparently quite in love. Queen Margrethe approves and Alexandra seem very happy. If she remarries she loses the "Her Highness" part of her title, although she remains Countess of Frederiksborg.

The entire chase was build on a couple of pictures and was well nothing.

I have only read the statements from Queen Margrethe to the mainstream press (Danish and non-Danish) in which she does clearly acknowledge the relationship between Princess Alexandra and Martin Jorgensen. Could you please share the URL of the article where Queen Margrethe dismisses her previous statements? I found nothing on any of the Danish mainstream TV or newspaper station (DR-TV2, JP, etc).

Well I am glad to know I di not get caught up in false rumors and the pics I saw looked quite authentic. I am not a tabloid fan and so I do not read BT, Ekstra Bladet etc until months after they have been published (my Danish teacher gives old ones to me to help me with my Danish language learning).
On the other hand, perhaps we don't want to say TOO much, as 26-year old Mr. Jorgensen apparently has a rather, um erratic past with a few children by different women including a child he has refused to acknowledge but is now being forced to because of his relationship with Princess Alexandra. It sounds like the stuff that tabloids love to print over and over again. I just hope that P. Alexandra is happy, that all works out and that there is not a lot of hoopla.
