...I saw several beautiful signs on rocks that proclaimed his devout faith in God. To be honest,I've never met a hybridizer who was an atheist.
There is something about working with god's
creations that inspires a reverential awe.
Perhaps you have, but don't know. Few atheists
bother to trumpet their beliefs. I know quite a
few atheist hybridizers in the Daylily Society,
some of them rather famous.
I wrote this little satire on the subject about two
years ago. If you are humorless about your religious
beliefs, you may not want to read it.
