» Barbara Bell - I envy you! The snow has only just left the yard, but the weatherman says we'll be getting some this weekend. Nonetheless, snowdrops have appeared and tiny buds of crocus and daffs are peeping up through the old matted leaf mulch. Too soon to uncover them!Yes, I live in the Northeast, zone 5, and it's been a very long winter! -- posted by Barbara Bell » Mary Lou - Re: Our daffodils Yes, lots of great daffodils come from Oregon. Washington State used to be a big growing area; in fact there used to be a daffodil festival in the vicinity of Puyallup, Washington. Last I heard, they still have a festival, but it may be more community-oriented rather than geared to showcasing the daffodils that were grown commercially in the area.-- posted by Mary Lou » jerrib - Re: Re: Our daffodils In response to Re: Our daffodils posted by Mary Lou:The daffodil festival is alive and well, Mary Lou. Here's the link if you want to check it out: http://www.daffodilfestival.net/ -- posted by jerrib

Well, we finally have some bright sun and warm day time air temperatures - "Peeping Tom" was in bloom on Friday, and warmth over the wekend brought "Ice Follies" to just the point of opening - maybe tomorrow I'm anxiously waiting to see if my miniatures, tazettas and other cyclamineus made it though our cold, soggy winter. Yes, Jerri, thanks for the link to the bulb festival... G. -- posted by Georgene A. Bramlage
