» kittybaby - bone and joint pain
Yes long term use of steroids causes bone problems. I have had crohn's 20 years. I can hardly walk. My feet are so painful to put weight on them. The rest of my body my joints are stiff and sore and the pain is unreal. I also take vioxx and it does no good. I have been diagnosied with rheumotoid arthritis, crohn's arthritis, osteoarthritis. Yes I know what you mean must have a bathroom nearby. I can not do things where there is no restroom. I sometimes can't get there in time. It is so embarising Only a person with crohn's understands this.-- posted by kittybaby

» mom1qaz - remicade and crohns
Our daughter took 2 remicade infusions, which caused her to test positive for TB.(it is made with mice feces) She then had to take rifampin treatment for that, and it nearly killed her,50 lbs wt loss in 6 months. Crohns is active again. They want to give her Imuran, which they said she could not take unless she finished the rifampin. Naturally I am suspicious of the big guns! Steroids, anyone???-- posted by mom1qaz
