» lyndarae - Ladies Slippers

I want to make a pair of ladies slippers and the beginning of the pattern reads as follows:

Heel

Ch (16-16-18)(19-21-23) loosely. If the children's sizes are in the first parentheses and the women's sizes are in the second parentheses, then for the women's sizes are they saying to chain between 19 and 23? As you can tell I am a novice.

In response to message posted by lyndarae:

hi lindarae,

it seems to me your pattern is giving a Small-Medium-Large option for both adults and children. So if you want to make a Small size slipper for an adult, start by chaining 19. If you want a large adult slipper, chain 23. It helps a lot if you circle the size you are following on the pattern sheet everytime a choice is given so that you can avoid some mistakes. Good luck!
