» bingley - Thanks
I was wondering whether to read this one. I've enjoyed Kathy Reichs's other books but I had a vague impression that this one was more about Guatamalan politics and who is to blame for the situation there. If it's business more or less as usual for Tempe, I'll look out for it.
PS. Your link to the discussion between Kathy Reichs and John Douglas doesn't lead to it. Do you have a more up-to-date link?

Hello Bingley,I didn't feel that the book got too bogged down in politics. I think the point was to set the action in an interesting place with many unknown factors, so things we take for granted (a common language and high standards for public health, for example) became part of the challenge for Tempe.
Go for it; I liked it.
I'll check all of my links; it's been awhile. Thanks for the heads up.
And thanks for reading!

P.S. The new link to that discussion is http://www.kathyreichs.com/mybooks.htm
