» _mickie_ - I found some of your suggestions helpful. I found some of your suggestions helpful. I disagree with you in that pork bacon has no nutritional value. Too many people have survived almost exclusively on pork side and belly meat for too many centuries to make such a sweeping statement even if one's background is not in nutrition. There are techniques which can be employed, both in selection and preparation, to lower fat for those who do not wish to switch to turkey bacon. Personally, I prefer food to taste like what it is and not depend on artificial flavors. Even if that means i don't eat pork bacon as often, or that i spend more time in preparation than otherwise.-- posted by _mickie_
