I used to run my own craft business from home and never heard of copyrights to crafts i made for sale. I know how many people sell crafts from ideas they got in magazines ect and have never heard of that problem in this area. Are some states stricter on these laws then others? Great point to share with others -- posted by Gaia » Barb_Massie - Barbara Massie Debbie - The States don't have much to do with m Barbara MassieDebbie - The States don't have much to do with monitoring copyrights, It is the person or company that owns the copyright or trademark that polices the system. Some who use other's patterns, ideas, etc. could go forever without being caught, BUT if one starts selling in a large volume to major stores that is the surest way to be detected. As stated some companies do send out "shoppers" to help protect their rights.
