Easy and Cheap Chicken and Dumplings
This archived discussion is "read only".
» kluke39mc - thrifty cooking I am a single mom, and this past year has been a learning experience for me...this is a recipe that my girls and I love...and it never turns out quite the same, because you can add your own touches or try something new in it...Boil two chickens until falling off bones- then poor chicken and broth into collander over a pot or bowl (to save broth)- while chicken is cooling off, poor broth back into original pot, add cream of chicken and cream of celery (or here is where you can get creative and use the soup of your choice)- once chicken has cooled, pull off bones, and add back into broth and soup mixture...then cut up refrigerated biscuits and put into mixture...simmer until biscuits( now dumplings) are at your preferred consistancy. You can also add veggies or whatever you want..."it is soooo good"...trust me. kkluc62@hotmail.com -- posted by kluke39mc
