As a photographer myself, I think your work is wonderful,, and, such a good story.
I encourage you to do more.
Maybe some more pictures on another theme?

Hi Howie! Thank you so much! Natalie thought up the story and then spent a wonderful summer morning taking photos in the back yard to illustrate it. I thought it would be perfect for the kids fun event here at suite101.

Thank you! I hope Natalie will do more for us, too.

Great idea! Nat says maybe "Barbie dolls!" for the next story, unless there is a trademark problem in using them as models? We are not sure.

ps We are low on coffee this morning. What is the correct form of address for an Ixia King, Your Majesty? (grin)

I often see Barbie dolls made fun of on Oz television. I am not sure if using the actual doll is OK, though I think I have seen a real one dressed 'differently' on TV comedy acts

What fun! Natalie has gone away to camp for the week, when she gets home she will be delighted to know they enjoyed her story.

Do your grandchildren have rubber duckeys? I have been casually collecting these for a while, just for fun, and suddenly they have become popular as souvenirs here.

Call it the Duckey Fad, maybe it is part of the Retro movement? This spring I found one that says "Chicago" and is wearing a red hat. And I recently brought home a PINK devil duckey from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, (but it doesn't say Baltimore on it). And I saw BLUE ones at a carnival last week. eeeeeeeeuuu I am not sure I like blue ones. Lime green would be nice, though.

No accounting for taste.

Natalie - I loved your story. Piggie saves the day! Where can I get one of those Devil Duckies for my barrel pond? It could protect my Goldie (fish) from the pond drinking cat, Tucson the Terrible (who I'm sure does not know there is a fish in his outdoor "water bowl). And I can't wait for a "Barbie" tale. Slightly twisted?
Barbara - you should get yourselves to Gay and Kees in Tasmania - I know it costs a lot, but you will love it!
Maggie, speaking from experience.
