» Cottage_Garden - Plain or Fancy? Pricey or Cheap?

I am increasingly amazaed by the artwork included in these catalogs -- the overall design, the covers, the great photos and incredible drawings, etchings, watercolors, whathaveyou just nameit. They are almost like books. I suppose a good cover is eyecatching and a pretty one is more pleasant to look at so you might be enticed to spend more time reading it....

Is it more important to have an attractive catalog or to publish and adequate but plain jane listing to control costs and consequently keep down the prices? Or for some, the plain listing and high prices nonetheless. Oh well.

I think I would rather have the simple list and lower prices, but maybe I am in the minority?

I think I have changed my mind on this. The catalogs should be as glossy as possible. Enough to make us drool. That is the only way we can survive the kind of winter we have had this time around. And when the plants arrive, no matter what theya re, we will be thrilled to see them!!

Come on, SPRING!!!!!!!!!!1
