» Cottage_Garden - Did I catch them all?

What's in your day planner, journal, job jar or honey do list that I missed?

At my house, it's finish planting stuff sitting around in pots. (Thus illistrating a classic case of do as I say not as I do.)

» jerrib - Helpful "to do" list

I really don't' enjoy the clean-up of the garden, but know it's necessary. Jerri

» Cottage_Garden - ritual

Fall cleanup is a ritual.

I am not a tidy gardener, so this is a tough one for me, too.

I like to wait for a warm day in later fall when I can savor the last bits of heat and sunshine....

Right now we are doing the frost dance -- what to bring in at night, what to cover, in case this early frost is just a freak. Some years we'll have several weeks of warm weather after the first frost.

I was camping this weekend, not too far from home but at a higher elevation, and it was very cold. We were in tents and could see our breath in the evening before we went to bed. It made the winter seem much more imminent.

ewwww

» Daffyclay - Plant Thousands of Bulbs

Barbara,

You said plant thousands of bulbs. That's what I'm doing. Check the picture on my article posted today. Yes, thousands of bulbs that I dug earlier this year.

I can understand and envision the planting -- but DIGGING them up is something else entirely. (oh my oh my it just boggles my mind) Great Pix!
