I have talked to a couple of other streeters and we find that what is happening on the street just to stressful. My afternoons weren't complete without a cup of tea and an episode of Coronation Street. I could forget about my day and live thru Jack...always hiding from Vera and spending his money on the horses...stop by the beauty parlor for a quick gossip or get the papaer with at Ritas store and hear Mavis talk about her budgie. What is happening now does not relax me but puts more stress and anxiety on my already stressful life. Roy and Hayley on the lam with Wayne? Sarah Louise a mom at fourteen AND getting trapped by a maniac man she met on the internet. Mike Baldwins ex and Kens daughter getting killed in an accident. Toyah getting viciously raped. Ashley not being able to have enough sperm for a baby?.....and on and on it goes. I used to pride myself that Coronation Street did not have all the smut the the American soaps had. It just had take me away Calgon moments that just let your mind wander.Is it just me or are the episodes getting to you to ? I am not waiting in anticipation for the next episode but dreading it.-- posted by donna2
