Wow! You've certainly done your homework on onions. I was looking for Walla Walla Sweets on your list (I'm a Washingtonian) and sure enough, you listed them. They don't keep long but are surely enjoyed while they are in season (maybe six weeks).

I grew up eating onions and can't think of any reason not to cook with them. What would life be without onions?!

I totally agree, yet my husband can't stand them. So, for the past 8 years, I have slowly incorporated onions into his food! And he has NO idea! HA HA!

I do that with my grandchildren. When you dice onions small they are not noticeable in casseroles, soups, etc. Aren't we the smart cooks!
