Jerri,

I think you've done Darlene's cookbook proud with your review; anyone who reads it will have their mouth watering for more info. I expect there will be good sales of Darlene's book. WTG!

Jerri, I also enjoyed reading your review of Dar's cookbook. My mouth was watering as well. smile

You have a wonderful way with words that makes it so much fun to read your articles.

I used to collect cookbooks because I enjoy reading them just like any other book. My collection got so large, though, that I had to stop doing that. :O

After 25 years, cooking for a living has taken a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. sad

Thanks for the great read..

Hugs,
T smile

Thank you, Tamara! I really enjoyed the cookbook.

I know what you mean about your cookbook collection getting too large. I have to give some away to my daughters now and then as I'm still buying cookbooks! That's the only way I have a place to put them.

I still like to cook and cook for my husband, daughters and families. I love it when we have company as it gives me an excuse to cook. My husband can't eat all of my cooking anymore, so I have to invite company! smile

Thanks for posting. Appreciate it.

» Schipperke - Southern cooking!

I really enjoyed your book review and will have to take a peek at the book now!
I moved to the south about four years ago and would like to learn how to cook the regional specialties, especially RED velvet cake.
Is there a recipe for that?

Mary

Hi Mary: How nice to see you here.

No, the cookbook does not have a recipe for Red Velvet Cake but this link does: http://southernfood.about.com/cs/chocola... - there's a column on southern cooking that looks mighty interesting!

Now I'll have to try one of these recipes!

Glad you liked the review.
