Broiling or Baking

» AnnikanJedi - Broiling I was recently advised that I need to leave the oven door slightly OPEN when I choose to broil something such as a steak. I've never heard of this BEFORE and logically...I cannot understand ANY logic in this. I live in Arizona and really would have no reason to heat my kitchen; let alone my whole house! :-) Has anyone ever heard of this and what logical reason there would be for such a technique? The informant is VERY demeaning and I'd hate to question such an aggressor that KNOWS IT ALL and would love to receive any feedback on this. Please help! :-)-- posted by AnnikanJedi
