Message:
Dear Jonathan,
You must be the fine gentleman with twinkly eyes I used to meet in the halls of Don Sullivan Hair Goop Company when my little ad agency glorified the shampoos, and your nice wife presided in an office downstairs for that great British hair sculptor, V. Sassoon.
If so, how nice to locate you through your internet amanuensis.
I much prefer your space exploits to those of John Glenn, and will keep checking TV Times for news of a new space series.
What ever happened to Don & co.? Did he make it big in the salon supply business? I always found that world a bit unreal, but it was appropriately close to Hollywood, and Sassoon's digs were truly Hollywoodish, I thought.
Greetings and best wishes to your wife, who probably doesn't remember the tall, stooped, white-haired fellow who would traipse in with the latest epic on "Don Sullivan elegance". He made a picture or two before going with Vidal, bu you probably knew this.
Regards,
Mac McIntosh (now at Tahoe, semiretired)
