Judy doesn't drink coffee, and she's the only woman in the house, so at first glance it would seem that the pain-reliever factors would never help the Judy and Dan marriage. However, she does like the aroma, from everyday instant to gourmet coffee, so as my Subject line said, "I hope you're right" about the origin of the pain relief.

Unfortunately, it doesn't explain why the effect is absent for men. We aren't immune to the lure of aroma, and if I ever thought I shouldn't have the coffee available (as for example, late in the day), I could still enjoy somebody else's coffee.

An interesting body-fragrance possibility comes to mind. Forget "Obsession", which gives Judy a headache and smells toxic to me; forget "Obsession for Men"; the future is in "Shade-Grown Columbian" fragrance for women, and "Java Joe Coffee" for men. Neither will be available decaffeinated.
