Roslinds, I have lost most of my hearing over the past 10 years so I have trouble with music, of course, but your descriptions became virtual melodious notes to my ears and heart.

» Tina_Coruth - Hi Roslind!

Hi Roslind,

I heard John McDermitt sing "The Old Man" on a PBS special. It was beautiful -- I can imagine it must have been incredible to actually be in the audience. I will have to check into the CDs you mentioned. I love Celtic music!! Thank you!!

Tina

Hi Tina....

The song " The Old Man " is contained on John McDermott's Cd, " Old Friends " which is one of my favorites... His official site is ( http:www.johnmcdermott.com )where you may enjoy alittle biography and view his online Cd section. Enjoy and please do come again.

Thank You ...Virginia...

What a lovely compliment... Research indicates that people may feel the vibrational therapy of music by simply touching an instrument while it is being played.

Isn't is wonderful that our sensory system accommodates the loss of one sense for another.... There is certainly music and magic in the your folklore. I can feel it every time I read your articles.

Hi Jo....

Sounds like you have enjoyed a positive summer... Often I work in silence also, but feel inspired by music while I am painting or drawing.

It is very theraputic...Enja, Loreena McKennitt, Kim Robertson mostly Celtic inspired music seems lift my imagination.

So my ' Trompe O'leil " will in part be painted by the impulses of the music which I hear and feel while creating... Of course it will take some time finish. But I'd be happy to keep a record so that we could share it on your site.. Thanks

Hi Roslind,

It's been winter...summers coming now.

Froth on the top of waves on the brightest blue sunny, sunny day. That's what I am looking forward to.

I love Enja and yes I love painting to the inspiration of music. The grade ones love it too.

Do you ever do abstract expressionist work where you just burst to the tune of the music?

That is true, roslinds, and I really had not thought about it, especially as vibrational therapy. I know they must surely use that in the schools for the deaf and blind.
