Should Criminals Be Allowed A Web Site?
This archived discussion is "read only".
» Pinky102 - Good Heart .Your article brings out the need we have to dialog such questions. There are entirely too many people who are ready to make summary judgements against the interests of those they believe don't deserve to be heard. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this important issue. -- posted by Pinky102 » biogardener - First of all First of all, Minnie, if you ever come across a posting which violates Suite101 guidelines, please report it to someone who can delete it ASAP. I found two messages in a discussion thread which taunted a suicidal teenager to go ahead and do everyone a favor and commit suicide rather than just talk about it. Vickie Ferguson immediately deleted those messages as soon as I reported them.Suite101 believes in freedom of speech with certain restrictions, and they are linked at the bottom of every Suite page called "Terms of Use." -- posted by biogardener » Minnie - Re: Good Heart In response to Good Heart posted by Pinky102:Pinky, thank you for your comments. I believe that we have a strong desire to reach out to people with a message of Christian love and mercy without diluting our aversion to crimes that hurt the innocent. Many times, our own discomfort stops us from reaching out to those who need Christ the most. Those who aren't even willing to listen must have had some trauma in their own lives that they haven't yet resolved? Then there are many times when I avoid people who constantly complain without the willingness to move out of the victim stance. Sometimes it's being too busy to waste time where it won't be productive. We know Jesus Christ is the best solution to most problems and that he leads us in each situation. It's great to simply be yielded to the Holy Spirit and rely on his way. -- posted by Minnie » Minnie - Re: First of all In response to First of all posted by biogardener:Traute, Thank you for your comments! I am just like you in accepting the privilege and responsibility to report anything that might seriously hurt someone. I'm glad that you mentioned it here because everyone needs to know that they can report violations to Suite management and get a quick response. It's really great to have people like you whom we can go to for good advice. Thanks! -- posted by Minnie
