Color choosing with tiles & paint

» UFOsasha - Beige tiles...new paint colors I have three bathrooms in my house with light or off beige colored tiles. The previous owner has blue, light aqua blue, and light yellow paint colors for the walls. In every room the tile color just clashes with the paint colors. I've been trying to choose colors that will blend, but none of the samples seem to go well with beige (except white). Does anyone know of what colors match well with beige? Thanks -- posted by UFOsasha » Barbara Bell - Re: Beige tiles...new paint colors In response to Beige tiles...new paint colors posted by UFOsasha:It's a little tricky without seeing the tiles in person, because lighting will affect how the colors look (daylight vs artificial light; incandescent vs fluorescent), and there are many shades of beige. However, I would suggest Peach/melon/mango/tangerine in your choice of muted or bright shades You can also look for pattern in wallpaper, borders, window treatments, and area rugs which include the shade of beige on the tile, and pick one or two of the other colors in the pattern to use on the wall. Artwork will also help you with this. This will ensure that your colors work well together. Good luck! -- posted by Barbara Bell » Toots1941 - Ceramic tile and colors My entire house has been tiled with a dark blacks, greys stone looking tile, and I'm really at a loss to what colors to choose for the walls. As you come in the front door, the living room and dining room are all open, and that's the first thing you see. Can someone suggest paint colors to go with these dark floors. Thank you -- posted by Toots1941
