you sound like a decorating expert, Barbara. Your room, redecorated with a few touches, sounds lovely. I envy the ease it sounds you made your slipcover with - out of sheets and ready to go back to that purpose when you are done.

Thanks, Jerri! Somehow I see it all in my mind's eye first, and then do it. Sometimes it doesn't work, but usually on-the-spot "creative problem solving" (i.e. "punt!") will work. Fortunately, I have a wealth of accessories stuffed into this house and I'm seldom at a loss for a different look.

If you could see the storage shelves in the basement...and the closet full of artwork in the attic!

Wish I could be a little mouse looing on in the corner. I bet you have some great finds.

I was an antiques dealer for 15 years, Jerri, and in addition I was fortunate to inherit an amazing number of pieces from my late mother who was an antiques dealer for over 30 years! Sadly, my house is too small to adequately display most of it, but I do recommend to people starting out decorating their homes to begin collecting what they love and to look for art work (even reproductions) to make their homes reflect their personalities.
