In response to Re: Question posted by doc310:

I have a similar hump that seems to make my neck protrude, although mine is much more noticeable and I'm becoming self-conscious about it. When I look in the mirror and attempt to have the best posture possible, the line from my neck and shoulders still has a forward curvature with a small, fatty area between the top of my shoulders. I am not fat, in fact, I am on the thin side. My sister is overweight and has the same type of forward protrusion of her neck/head. My hump is higher than what I've studied of Kyphosis.

I just took up dancing but feel insecure about wearing anything that isn't collared, because my side profile doesn't look good, because of the way my head sits on my neck.

I'd appreciate any advice on how I could possibly correct this. I have been to numerous chiropractors and none of them have ever said anything about this, although I'm now just starting to feel insecure about it. I'm 39.

Thank you.
