» LaurD - The need for stricter laws

I have to admit that I am truly disappointed in our system where protecting minors are concerned. I have tried on many occasions to contact the hotline for abused and neglected children, and each and every time have been told there is nothing they can do. I ask why and am told that there is nothing they can do. I think that there needs to be stricter laws made to protect our children. I mean after all we would not allow our children to run in the street to oncoming traffic....we would not allow our children to drink poison....we are here to make sure our children have the best lives possible and to be kept safe at all times, but when our authorites won't listen, who will?

» FamilyRightsAdvo - Child Protective Services Destroys Lives

Child Protection Services throughout The U.S. are destroying lives and desecrating the American Family.

CPS agencies are capitalizing on the misfortunes of other persons and destroying lives.

CPS receives money for every child they can successful remove from their "natural" parents care, custody, and control.

They get capitalize on by three ways. 1- foster care, 2- termination of parental rights 3- adoptive placement. When is everyone going to wake up and realize most of these parents did nothing but were falsely accused.

Adoption destroys lives. Many adult adoptees and birth mother have been exploited by the Adoption Industry that reelings in the Almight American Dollar as well.

Please read the real defition of Adoption and know that it does not mean "Take as your own" if that was the case why are so many adoptive parents screaming "wrongful" adoption and throwing the child they meant to "take as your own" back into the same system they took the child from.

There is a saying" Ca'vet Emp'tor " out there.
Which in English means "Buyer Beware" and that is exactly what infertile couples are doing. Rather than just living up to the fact that the Lord their God has decided they are not fit and proper people to be parents.

Adoption was created for children with out living parents. Not for infertile couples and children who were taken away from their parents and are still living. The state is creating an "orphan" state and capitalizing on it.

"Adoption was created to provide homes for orphans. These by definition are children without parents. Car crashes, war, natural disasters. It was never created to provide children to 'poor infertile couples'. When did the wires get crossed? I guess when someone started making money. Children are not a commodity!!!! Get a puppy."

» dena - Child Welfare

I am sorry that your experience with adoption was so negative, but please understand that it is not that way for everyone. I was adopted and raised in a loving home by people who are as "real" and "natural" as any parents could be. I have also adopted my three children. They were not unjustly taken from innocent, abused birth parents. They were in situations were their safety (both physical and psychological) was in very real danger. They are now happy, healthy, beautiful kids.

Adoption is a very real way to build a family. Just like any other way families are put together, there can be problems. I do not think capitalism is involved. It is much more economical for child welfare services to reunite biological families than it is to terminate parental rights and create an adoption plan.

Again, I am very sorry for whatever has happened that has made you so angry about the subject of adoption, but do understand it is not the view of every adoptee or adoptive parenDena

In response to The need for stricter laws posted by LaurD:

I strongly agree. When kids need the help child welfare wants nothing to do with them but when kids are not being abused child welfare are there stealing the kids out the homes. What is wrong with this picture! Child welfare is financially gaining on taking kids out of good healthy homes, falsely acusing these parents of abuse. Who wants to adopt abused children, kids with baggage, children that have a high risk of drug or alcohol fetal syndrom, disabilities or any other problems. People who can't have kids and look at adopting as an resolution to their problems want healthy normal kids they can pass off as their own in most cases. Child welfare is profiting from people like this. We need sticter laws on child welfare. They have too much power and need to be knocked off their high horse. Their should be an outside agancy that oversees child welfare and investigates any suspision on child welfare. An agancy that parents can go to if they feel that they have been wrongfully acused of abuse from child welfare. Families have NO rights when it comes to child welfare weather it is in Canada or the United States. Our goverments have passed the buck by not taking resonsiblity in this area and gave all the power to child welfare. They need to be stopped right now before they destroy more families and hurt more kids. In the end the children are the ones who suffer the most.

His web site is www.michaelmoore.com go to the news room and email Mike. Maybe we can get his attention and he can make some noise. He seems to be fearless attacking the govermant. I know how you are geeling i'm in the same boat and keep hitting brick walls.
