» Jonell - I love how frank you are!
Once I began dealing with the childhood incest, I learned to speak of it, casually, if the occasion warranted because I think it's important for others to know if you've been there. It helps give hope.In my case, it was my brother (whom I idolized) who destroyed my childhood and changed my future; but my family closed the door to their tender affection when I tried to explain why I have been the way I was for so many years. He's in...I'm out. Okay.
But life goes on and it's so important to help others to find ways to deal with their pain and we can only do that by being honest with ourselves and with others. You are so good at doing that.
