Does anyone have experience using TES with spastic athetoid young children? Could electrode placement be on the trunk, and if so where specifically?

When TES is used for trunk strengthening the electrodes are placed on specific muscle groups on the trunk. The weak muscle groups vary with each patient. A PT trained in TES will demonstrate exactly where the electrodes will be placed. Hope this helped.

My PT used TES on me for months, for a knee injury, and hypertone in my quadricep. It kind of stung on days when I had a high tone, and the first few times, but after a while, I got used to it. I still whined about hating it, just for something to whine about (lol..), but it did help.

Is TES a type of therapy that is covered by any type of insurance or Medicaid?
