Hair loss in cats: My cat

I've been having a problem with my cat for a few months now.. My sister picked up a stray cat that was terribly infested with fleas and etc and gave him treatment and it went away, and than we moved into a house that we later found was previously inhabited by two dogs with mange.

Now my cat is almost completely bald. Her back legs, and near the back of her body, and parts of her tail, and up towards the front of her is almost completely bald, and I cannot figure out the problem. The other cat shows no signs of balding, only MY cat.

I've been decisive about it being mange or something else, but I can't quite afford to pay 300 at the vet to have her diagnosed for such things.

Any advice would be helpful.
