Are We Really Going Racing Again?Read the article this discussion is about

» Tom - Race Cancelled? If they can race at Charlotte, why can't they race at Texas? This is weird! Yes, I heard about the G-forces, etc....... What is racing coming down to? NASCAR won't let their racers run at speeds over 200 mph, they mandate a restrictor plate, and now CART racers can't handle G-forces at 240? It appears that there is a technology problem here....... If they can't handle the G-forces, install oxygen in their cars for them to breathe........This problem has been coming to a head for a long time. Technology versus human safety and endurance. Racing can't remain at a standstill, these racing organizations have to progress equally. NASCAR has taken the easy way out with their abominable restrictor plates. They are too lazy, too scared, to just too greedy to come up with a viable solution. -- posted by Tom
