Tom,

This article is awesome. I felt like I was in camp with you. Perfect imaging. A very successful article.

Thank for taking me along with you on your vision quest. I certainly enjoyed the trip.

Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words. I really like this form also and am thinking about creating an original format for it.

We tend to put things too much in boxes, especially in the West. Why should poetry be always divorced from prose? All is continuum anyway in my experience.

Best wishes,
Tom

» jerrib - Such a peaceful, reflective piece

You always evoke a sense of measured calmness in your writing, making me yearn for more. I often feel one with nature but have never elucidated it like your gift to those who read you, Tom. You surely should write a book of reflections like this.

I felt like I was there. Such joy.

Jerri, please check out Tom's Best of Suite books, "Real Gifts" (from this column) and "A Southern Crossing" (his poetry). You'll find them at Suite's Marketplace.

Hi Sue,

I could not possibly guess your totem btw, though I should think it would be a very dynamic animal like an eagle or wolf.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a message.

Thanks, Tom. There are days I wonder why I write; then, thank goodness, there are days I know why I write.
